Suzhou, China – 2025 – RAYSHAPE has successfully completed the technical validation of its Edge mini chairside dental 3D printer for use with three photopolymer resins from pro3dure medical GmbH, a Germany-based specialist manufacturer of dental 3D printing materials. This validation confirms full compatibility between the Edge mini and the printodent® GR-10 guide, printodent® GR-14.2 denture HI, and printodent® GR-17.1 temporary lt, underscoring a shared commitment to enabling precise, clinically reliable digital dental workflows.

Validated Materials
As part of this collaboration, the following printodent® resins from the pro3dure medical portfolio were successfully tested and validated for use with the RAYSHAPE Edge mini dental 3D printer:
printodent® GR-10 guide — A biocompatible photopolymer resin for the additive manufacturing of implant surgical guides (drill guides) and occlusal splints, featuring high transparency, exceptional elongation, and UV stability. ISO 10993 biocompatibility certified; sterilisable.

printodent® GR-14.2 denture HI — A high-impact (HI) resin for the fabrication of full and partial removable denture bases, meeting ISO 20795-1:2013 requirements (water absorption < 25 μg/mm³; polymerisation shrinkage ≈ < 1%). Compatible with VITA VIONIC VIGO, CANDULOR TCR°/NFC+°, and Ruthinium ACRYSMART denture tooth systems, with complete exocad CAD integration.

printodent® GR-17.1 temporary lt — A biocompatible resin for provisional (temporary) anterior and posterior crowns and bridges, as well as denture teeth. Exceptional mechanical performance: flexural modulus > 5,000 MPa (ISO 178) and flexural strength of 112 MPa (ISO 4049). The first material in its class worldwide to receive FDA approval for two indications — temporaries and denture teeth.

Advancing Digital Dentistry Through Partnership
The Edge mini is a compact, high-precision LCD-based chairside 3D printer engineered for in-practice digital workflows. Equipped with a 6.23’’ 4K monochrome LCD light engine (405 nm), a pixel size of 35 μm, and a dynamic layer thickness of 0.05–0.20 mm, it delivers laboratory-grade output from a 300 × 280 × 427 mm footprint. Its dual-platform configuration (60 × 60 × 100 mm / 130 × 80 × 100 mm) supports a broad range of clinical applications — from implant surgical guides and occlusal splints to removable denture bases and provisional restorations.
This partnership extends the Edge mini’s Open Material Architecture, providing dental
professionals with a validated, end-to-end solution that delivers key benefits:
A Complete Chairside Solution: A single, validated platform covering guided implant surgery, removable prosthetics, and provisional restorative workflows.
Clinically Proven Materials: printodent® resins comply with ISO 20795-1:2013, ISO 178,ISO 4049, and FDA standards, ensuring consistent, regulation-compliant outcomes.
Open-System Flexibility: RAYSHAPE’s Open Material Architecture, now further expanded with the pro3dure medical printodent® portfolio, gives practitioners the freedom to select the optimal material for every clinical indication.
